Register now to attend the Live Well Charlie West Corporate Cook-Off on Thursday, July 31.
The event pits the employees of 11 businesses against each other in an “Iron Chef” style cooking competition.
Each team will be provided five mystery ingredients to create the meal. Teams will have access to a pantry filled with spices, condiments, oils and other ingredients.
Teams will prepare their meals in 60 minutes and present them to a panel of judges who will critique the meal. Prizes and bragging rights will be granted to the top team.

The Corporate Cook-off aims to demonstrate how to make a quick, healthy meal using seasonal produce. All produce will be supplied by the SAGE microfarms located on Charleston’s West Side.
Registration to attend is $15. Food (cooked elsewhere) and beverages will be provided.

Join therapist and aromatherapy practitioner and entrepreneur Amy Williams in a one-hour experience that will change your life.
At the luncheon titled, “Emotional Mapping with Essential Oils for the Workplace,” Williams will share her illustrated emotional mapping process. She will also discuss the practice of aromatherapy and its positive effects, particularly as it pertains to minimizing stress in the workplace. Williams specializes in maximizing one’s mental health and living a conscious life.
The program is presented as part of Live Well Charlie West, a Charleston Area Alliance campaign dedicated to workplace wellness. It will be held Thursday, June 12 from 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Charleston Area Alliance. Registration is $10 and covers the cost of lunch.
All attendees must pre-register.
Live Well Charlie West aims to connect employees and employers to wellness resources. The campaign works to create a dialogue throughout the community about workplace wellness. It centers around four topic areas: drug abuse, mental health, nutrition and physical activity Free parking for this event is available on-site.
