This is what the stone wall at Gateway Greenspace will look like. This is a building at Oglebay Park near Wheeling.

Workers should begin placing the stone on the wall in mid-November.

What a great week of weather for a fall construction project!  Yesterday, Order’s Construction installed several additional sections of the river rock in the stream bed.  They also were installing backfill around the cistern system. 

This week, we provided a tour of the site to a group from the West Virginia Recreation and Park Association annual conference.  Above, you will see several conference participants speaking with Alliance staff member Mike Aeiker about the project.

The main water feature is taking shape, as seen in the photos above. 

Workers are forming and pouring the final sections of the seat wall over the next several days, and the remaining portion of the sidewalk area along Sentz Alley has been formed.

This week, the stream bed is beginning to take shape as seen in the photo above. Large boulders outline the edges of the stream feature which will cascade down all three stepped walls.

One of our largest boulders is being transformed into the lower level bubbler feeding the small stream pool.

We are honored to announce our latest addition to the greenspace. These beautiful boulders were delivered yesterday by Pritchard Mining. We thank Mr. Andrew Jordan for his generous contribution to this community project.

Today, Order’s Construction set a couple of boulders into the stream bed.
