Downtown ArtWalk continues its twelfth season with the October edition this Thursday from 5-8 p.m.

ArtWalk, a Charleston Area Alliance program sponsored by Masters Law Firm, is a monthly event that draws hundreds of residents and visitors to downtown Charleston for a festive evening of culture and commerce.

The purpose of ArtWalk is to help revitalize downtown and to promote economic development through the arts.

Art Emporium
823 Quarrier Street

Art Emporium will present “Sandra King: A Retrospective,” during the October ArtWalk. The paintings in the retrospective show span work from over 40 years. The works in the retrospective are a part of a series titled “Full Circle,” which feature large abstract paintings based on earth elements.

Uncork & Create
1031 Quarrier Street

Cheryl Thaxton will take you step-by-step in the creation of your own work of art on canvas at Downtown ArtWalk. No experience is necessary and all materials will be provided. Guests are welcome to bring adult beverages and snacks. Doors open 30 minutes before scheduled start time. Seating preference is on a first come first serve basis. The demonstration will begin at 6 p.m. The event begins promptly at scheduled start time.

The Art Store
233 Hale Street

More than 40 artists will be on exhibit at The Art Store’s new location at 233 Hale Street during ArtWalk. The exhibition will include prints, paintings, sculpture, furniture and drawings.

Only One Look
110 Capitol Street

Only One Look will feature 25 percent off all of its West Virginia glass (Blenko, Fenton, Ron Hinkle) and 35 percent off all Citizen Watches. Also, a signed and numbered Randy Rider Blenko decanter, limited to 54 only, will be available.

Tony the Tailor
822 Virginia Street

Tony the Tailor will feature the art work of Judy Foxx.

Timothy’s at the Quarrier Diner
1022 Quarrier Street

Timothy’s will feature guest artist Wes Eary and his 3D black light art. Also, original music composed by area musicians will also be featured.

Woomer Nistendirk & Associates
231 Capitol Street

Woomer Nistendirk & Associates will feature oil paintings by Joseph Pettit.

Capitol Conference Center
815 Lee Street

The Capitol Conference Center will feature artists Newman Jackson, Deborah Herndon, and Mary Grassell. FOOTMAD will also be showcasing their talents.

Delfine’s Jewelry
245 Capitol Street

Gregg Oxley will be showcasing art at Delfine’s Jewelry for the October ArtWalk.

Charleston Ballet
100 Capitol Street

Art walkers are invited to visit the Charleston Ballet studios from 5- 8 p.m. for a drink and a snack. The Ballet will showcase the artworks of Rob Cleland, along with photos from its extensive library of ballets. Watch dancers from the Charleston Ballet in class and rehearsing for upcoming performances of “Romeo and Juliet.” Studios are located on the Mezzanine Floor at 100 Capitol Street in the Security Building.

Randy Selbe is the Gallery Eleven featured artist for ArtWalk.
