GROW, the Charleston Area Alliance’s entrepreneurship initiative, will host an exclusive crowdfunding event on June 12 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the Alliance’s offices at 1116 Smith Street.
The event will feature five GROW businesses competing for more than $1,000 in crowd funds. The businesses will deliver 90-second elevator pitches at the event to earn the vote of those attending.
The featured businesses include:
- Alum Creek Bookbinder
- B.Belle Events
- Dressmaker’s Closet
- WV Cheer Academy
- WV Miners Basketball
General admittance is $10. In return, guests will get to partake in beverages and food, but more importantly, they get to vote for the entrepreneur that they want to support.
You cannot vote for a winner, unless you attend the event.

GROW offers educational training, individual coaching and peer feedback to Kanawha Valley entrepreneurs, who have been in business for less than three years, have less than five employees and who seek to expand their network and gain insight from experienced and successful area business people.
GROW is a program of Vision 2030, the Alliance’s 20-year economic development initiative.
