Bridgemont Sustainability Institute is currently seeking qualified applicants for a Program Coordinator (Instructional Specialist) position. Position description and application instructions are available at: http://www.bridgemont.edu/index.php/job-opportunities.html
BSI – established in 2010- is a growing and dynamic organization with a statewide mission to promote sustainability in the areas of workforce development, academics, and community development. BSI also participates in several campus-based initiatives to promote stewardship and sustainability within Bridgemont Community & Technical College. This position is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on West Virginia communities and get in on the ground floor of an exciting new initiative.
Approximately three-quarters of this position is dedicated to coordinating the delivery of technical assistance to support sustainable community development for the WV Sustainable Communities program. WVSC is a well-established program; BSI has only recently taken over its management and implementation. Click here for more information on WVSC. The remaining time will be devoted to assisting with other BSI initiatives. The Workforce Development team is currently focused on educating and providing resources to business and industry in order to promote sustainable practices and grow the “green jobs” market. The Academic Enhancement team is planning a statewide inventory of sustainability education initiatives and seeks to foster collaboration among sustainability educators and administrators from K-12 to higher education.
