IRS and West Virginia Free File Briefing

With only a few days left before the April 17th federal tax filing deadline, please join Congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito for a media briefing and tax training workshop to highlight the IRS and West Virginia Free File programs – public-private partnerships between leading tax software companies, the IRS and the West Virginia State Tax Department that provides FREE online federal and state income tax preparation and e-filing services to lower and moderate income taxpayers (including those eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit), active-duty military, and students.

Following the briefing, take advantage of a hands-on tax training workshop to learn how easy it is to use programs available through Free File, learn more about other free tax services in Charleston, and gain access to outreach materials to inform eligible taxpayers in the community.

Bayer CropScience site leader Steve Hedrick and Thomas Health Systems CEO Steve Dexter are among the area’s business leaders who will deliver an economic development update at the next SUCCESStrategies luncheon on Wednesday, April 25.
The event will take place at DigiSo, a new digital arts production studio located on Charleston’s West Side. The studio was recently featured in a Charleston Gazette story, which you can read HERE.
The program will include a report on Vision 2030, the Alliance’s ongoing 20-year economic development plan.
Playing on the digital theme of the location, guests will learn how Vision 2030 intersects with digital media, past and present.
The speakers will be some of the key senior business executives and community leaders who are leading Vision 2030 task force working groups.
