Help Us Welcome FrütCake to Charleston

FrutCakeKeeleyA new pastry and coffee shop is now open on the East End.

John and Keeley Steele, who own and operate the Bluegrass Kitchen and Tricky Fish restaurants, are hosting a grand opening for FrütCake May 18. The public is welcome to attend the event, which is scheduled for 10 a.m. at 1599 Washington St. East.

Mayor Danny Jones will help “cut the coffee cake” and formally welcome FrütCake to Charleston. He is among several city officials expected to attend.

The business serves organic pastries, cookies, pies and coffee Tuesday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
