Employing Members of the National Guard & Reserve

FoodforThoughtSmallWhat does employing someone with the National Guard and Reserve mean for your business? Please join us for our next Food for Thought luncheon Wednesday, March 17 from noon to 1p.m. at the Charleston Area Alliance, where we’ll explore the answer to that question plus much more.

Col. Timothy Frye will lead the discussion on military construction in West Virginia, the economic implications and benefits of employing Guardsmen and Reservists.

David Bush, with the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) will provide an overview of ESGR, cooperation of ESGR with Workforce WV and the West Virginia Military Incentive Program (WV Tax Credit).  ESGR is a Department of Defense agency that seeks to promote a culture in which all American employers support and value the military service of their employees by recognizing outstanding support, increasing awareness of the law and resolving conflict through mediation.
