Take a Stroll Downtown This Evening

ArtWalk09Logo copyThe 200 block of Capitol Street will be closed Thursday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. for this month’s ArtWalk.

Join us as we welcome visitors to our city from the Southeastern Museums Conference. 

Please use the conveniently located City Services Center parking garage on the corner of Quarrier, Dickinson and Virginia Streets.  

Dramatist Play Services at the Capital High School Performing Arts Center will perform vignettes from their upcoming production “I Hate Hamlet” on the corner of Quarrier and Hale Streets throughout the evening.

“Creatures and Whimsy” incldes new work from Jamie Miller and Amanda Jane Miller. Their work is fun, colorful and full of little surprises upon closer inspection. Printmaking by Dan Carlisle is also featured. Dan is a recent transplant to West Virginia from California. His work showcases wonderful wood grain and colorful patterns.
